.:. Brief about MECC .:.

just wanna share a little brief about the MECC '07 (Middle East Career Carnival 2007) that were held in Cairo International Convention Centre (CICC) a couple days ago. Nothing special about this event only because the coming of abundant .. huh, org kerajaan. Honestly, at first what I thought about this carnival is just a typical one event ... biase2 je. but it start to make the impact with the coming of our PM ... Pak Lah to launch this MECC n about 4-5 or maybe more of his Cabinet Ministers as well as others org2 besar gak la. Hmm .. it's good for them to look, see n know thus take full concentrate on our welfare here esp the dirasat students.

And what I get is a new experience dealing with a political man. On the day before the MECC, all of MARA students in Alex had a meeting n lunch with Minister of Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development (MECD), Dato' Khalid Nordin at Sheraton Hotel, Muntazah. What an opportunity for us esp the 1st year students to let him know our problems here and discuss anything about it. So, I was appointed to give Dato' our 'memorandum' @ work paper directly ... whoaa. Thing that firstly I thought was impossible because we have the protocol to deal with it ... but for the sake of our 'kebajikan' here, I tried. N when he arrived at the hotel, I greeted him and gave him by hand our memorandum with little dardasyah (chatting). And done ... less than a minute I think. Huh, lega. What an experience ...

After bace kitorg punyer paper work, Dato' made a speech n every one gave a very big applause when he said that Govt will have a look about our problems and raise our 'duit poket' beginning next year ... insya Allah. Yg lawak nye, He replied ; "Itu je yg diorg nak dgr." But for me the most important thing is Govt particularly MARA will not make any mistake when dealing with the Arab people in the future.

About MECC, overall best gak la. Dpt tgk Pak Lah before my eyes. There are 2 students medic from Alex Univ who got rewards from PM as for their triumphant in the exam. One with a 4.00 CGPA. Huh, I must emulate them to excel in my studies. Insya Allah. I also met one doctor or maybe Prof who graduated from Zaqaziq University in Egypt long time ago and now a lecturer in USM. I thanked him very much for giving me a new hope and dimensional to perform in my studies esp on the way I should study. Actually, I went to all IPTA booth that have their own teaching hospital asking about possibility to make attachment during our summer break esp in the clinical years. And the answer is very convincing ... insya Allah, I'll make it on my plan list during this 6 years journey. Dpt gak jumpe face to face with UM Vice Chancellor ... and omg, I made a very big mistake cos I 'salam' tgn her. Very surprise that time because I'm not expecting her to 'salam' with me. Hmm ... I must practice to avoid and deal with this situation next time. It looks easy theoretically, but to apply it need extra strength because you'll deal with ur @ Islam's principal and others belief esp their heart. Need a very hearty skills.

.:. Simulasi Study .:.

hmm ... setelah hampir dua bulan study medic kat alex ni, kdg2 aku terfikir. Byk methode dan cara yg diapply oleh Medical School kat serata dunia. As in Alexandria University, kitorg menggunakan sistem blok bermula dgn foundation of medicine. Setiap sem akan habiskan satu blok so bersamaan setiap tahun akan blaja 2 blok. Ape kelebihan blaja sistem blok ni? Setakat yg dah lalu, sistem ni akan mengintegrasikan ape yg kite blaja dlm setiap subjek medic. As an example, skrg ni tgh blaja pasal Nervous System ... so semua subjek (mostly esp yg berkaitan la) akan menyentuh pasal sistem saraf ni. Klu histology kite akan blaja about cell yg t'libat i.e. nerve cells, klu anatomy kite akan study ape organ yg t'libat i.e. brain n spinal cord, klu physiology lak (ni yg plg byk tp menarik utk blaja) kite akan blaja secara detail how the system works dr somatic, autonomic, sympathetic, para sympathetic etc ... Overall maknenye klu nk study kene bukak @ revise 3 subjek ni baru leh paham secara mendalam n maklumat tu dlm kepala je sbb selalu ulang2. Itu mungkin benefit @ pro, cons plak .... abundant n burden. Huh!

Ade jugak yg amalkan sistem traditional i.e. setiap tahun akan habiskan certain subjects. Ade jugak yg gune PBL (Problem Based Learning) i.e. care ni akan study ikut case @ problem sedalam2nye dr segi histology, pathology, microb etc dan juga persoalan2 mudah like what, how why dll. Correct me if I'm wrong. Bile tgk balik klu blaja style PBL, rase cam dah dekat sgt nk jadik doktor even w'pun baru first year ... huhu. Mase awal2 blaja dulu aku pun pk knapa nk kene ade Pre-Clinical n Clinical years. Lg best klu time blaja lg dah rase cam nk jadik doktor. Ye la, baru lg ... tp blaja time pre-clinical mcm blaja Bio, Kimia kat sek men je. Cume bezanye kite akan blaja setiap hari so bende jd byk nk kene tau. Klu kat skola dulu plg byk pun 3 hari seminggu je blaja bio @ kimia. Huhu ... time passed already la. But, 'ala kulli hal - each system has it pros and cons, depend on the student utk adapt.

Secara kesinambungannye, aku terbayang n cube aplikasi pada uslub dakwah @ tepatnye care seorg daei menyampaikan sesuatu kpd mad'u. B'dasarkan pengalaman, ade org yg suke straight to the point bile ckp, biar terang n jelas maksud yg tersirat di hati. Ade plak yg berbunga2 sket, pusing kanan, kiri, patah balik, u-turn n last2 baru smp pada maksudnye. Ni jugak depends pada situasi yg kite akan hadapi. Ade orang yg x suke bile berckp dgn bahasa berkias2 ... yg penting maksud smp n boleh diambil pengajaran. Ade org nk kene terangkan dulu pokok pangkal sesuatu perkara ... biar ambik mase asal paham selamanya. Huh, get it? Ape2 pun kite balik pd firman Allah s.w.t. :

"Dan serulah ke jalan tuhanmu dengan hikmah, mau'izah (pengajaran @ contoh tauladan) yg baik dan berbahaslah (jidal) pada yg lebih baik." (An-Nahl : 135)

Bile bace balik rase mcm xde kaitan ... ambil ape yg terbaik, sekadar perkongsian.

antara impian, cite2, angan2 dan realiti ... klu dlu sblm dtg ke Mesir, byk disogokkan dgn 'keindahan' hidup di sini. Dgr cite ustaz2, kat sini boleh tambah ilmu agama - nak dpt sanad hadith ngan talaqqi qur'an memang mudah sbb syeikh2 bersepah2 ... katenye. Bace novel ayat2 cinta lak t'bakar dgn kelas talaqqi qira'ah Sab'ah kat sini ... motivated. Tgk blk ke blkg ape sebab ade kat Mesir ni? ... nak jadi doktor, good medical student as well as ikut tarbiyyah kat sini yg bukan takat nk memanusiakan diri sendiri tp dgn matlamat kat kepala satu hari nanti amalku di bumi Malaysia.

Kat sini jugak dgrnye bagus utk mahirkan lagi bahasa Arab esp Fushah la siyaama (t'utamanya) dlm komunikasi. kat skolah dlu mungkin byk fokus pd kitabah (tulisan), nahu n saraf etc. Huh, terasa semangat lak nak masuk markaz lughah utk tajamkan lg arab .... in planning. Dlm mase yg same, terpk gak nnt time clinical years thn 4-6 kene communicate ngan patients dlm 'ammi. So la budda (nak x nak) kene gak mahir 'ammi. Izan, (so) byk2 la kena sembang ngan org2 arab yg byk kerenah ... sabar is a must. ;)

Hmm ... mcm byk bende nk capai kat bumi Mesir ni dlm mase 6 tahun insya Allah .... terase nk dpt semua bende dlm mase yg singkat tp takut yg dikejar x dpt ... yg dikendong b'ciciran.

Moga Allah pandu kite dlm segala urusan ... kerana walau sebyk mane, sedetail mane n sedlm mane pun perancangan kite, jgn dilupakan perancangan Ilahi ... kerana wallahu khairul maakirin. ("Allah lah sebaik2 perancang.")
